Is this the hardest frenchie to adopt?

You would expect an adorable little French Bulldog to be first on the list when it comes to adoption. Sadly for Niagara SPCA, a no-kill dog shelter in Niagara, New York, they have their work cut out. 

They’ve taken the brutal honesty approach when it comes to advertising Ralphie as it didn’t seem fair to the new owners to sugarcoat his behaviour problems.

Ralphie’s behaviour is so bad the shelter advised only the “Mother of Dragons” from the Game of Thrones would be a suitable owner. 

It’s hard to imagine a 26lb dog being able to cause that much trouble but the experienced staff at the Niagara SPCA have seen enough dogs to know trouble when it arrives.

After one attempt at re-homing the little terror failed, a permanent home with a more suitable owner was found. On 23 Mar 2023, the staff at Niagara SPCA posted on Facebook that they’d found a home for the little dragon. He’ll live with another Frenchie, a Daschund and a German Shepherd. Ralphie’s new owner, Jason is uniquely qualified because both his Frenchie and Daschund had bite histories before living with him.

We wish Ralphie all the best on his journey to being a well-behaved happy little dog. Hopefully, he’ll be able to put his “fire-breathing dragon” days behind him.
